DIASTYL – active and healthy living with diabetes
Magazine DIASTYL is source of interesting, actual and specialized informations for everyone - diabetics, their family members, doctors, nurses and everyone, who is interested in diabetes. DIASTYL introducing celebrities with diabetes, bringing informations about healthcare and specialized diabetes hospitals. Also contains news from diabetics events, diabetologists congresses and news from all over the world. There are also tips for cooking, inspirations for gymnastics and healthy way of living, travelogues, reviews of internet pages focused to diabetes, prize competitions for children, as well as for adults and crossword.
DIASTYL magazine not only brings informations for it's readers - diabetics and also general public, but empowering everyone to actively participate on making of the magazine. There are plenty of opportunities to do so - by interviews, articles, tips from everyday's life etc. There is also enough space for readers questions, where experts are always ready for answers. Not less important is fact, that significant part from magazine's profit goes to help and support for diabetics. Full 35 % of profit from every issue is adding into humanitarian fund, founded by NGO DIASTYL. Everything from this fund goes exclusively only to help, support and improve quality of life for people with diabetes in developing countries and supporting projects for czech and slovak diabetics.
FROM HISTORY:
DIASTYL magazine was published for the first time in February 2005 as bi-monthly with 52 pages. From it's beginning is widely spread in large sales network with magazines all over Czech Republic and Slovakia. In present it's circulation is stable around 25.000 pieces and from this year was enhanced into 68 color pages form.
